Olympic Peninsula

I recently took a business trip to the Pacific Northwest.  I decided to take the opportunity to extend my stay and have Toni join me for a long weekend getaway.  Or course flying American Airlines, her flight was delayed so she didn't arrive until 1am Friday morning!  We quickly headed back to the hotel in Bellevue so we could get some rest for our trip to Port Angeles, WA.  We stayed at Colette's Bed and Breakfast which is possibly the best in the United States!  They have an outstanding view overlooking the Strait of Juan de Fuca and lush landscaping.  The service is outstanding and the lodging fantastic.

After a relaxing stay at Colette's, we continued our trip around the Olympic Peninsula to Forks, WA.  My wife is a huge Twilight series fan so we had to visit Forks.  Toni was a bit disappointed to learn none of the movies were actually filmed in Forks.  However, we did find several sites that are replicas to locations in the movie.

We finalized our trip by visiting the Hoh Rainforest.  The rainforest was very dry due to the unusual dry spell in the area (40+ days without rain).  Toni and I enjoyed the trip and we will be back for longer stays I am certain!
